Robotics, IoT & computer vision

I work at the connection between software and physical systems: robot drivers, embedded devices, perception and the services that support them.

Hardware brings constraints that do not disappear behind an API: timing, connectivity, sensor quality and safe failure states. I use simulation and isolated software checks where possible, followed by tests on the target hardware. Remote operation and maintenance need to be designed alongside the initial integration.

What I can help with

  • ROS and ROS 2 drivers, nodes and system integration
  • Embedded software and connected hardware interfaces
  • Gazebo simulation and ROS migration work
  • Computer vision models and edge deployment
  • Device APIs, monitoring and remote support workflows

Tools & technologies

  • ROS / ROS 2
  • C++
  • Python
  • Gazebo
  • ESP32
  • MQTT
  • OpenCV
  • PyTorch
  • NVIDIA Jetson

From my engineering experience

My research experience includes preparing and annotating more than 5,000 images, training computer vision models on an HPC cluster, Gazebo simulations and C++/Python driver work for ROS 2. I have also worked on NVIDIA Jetson Orin deployment. This spans data preparation, simulation, software migration and running models on the target device.

Delivery & collaboration

The scope depends on the hardware, documentation and access available. We agree on the operating environment, test conditions and expected behaviour before integration. Software delivery can include driver code, configuration, deployment instructions and reproducible checks. Hardware commissioning and any required safety approval remain explicit parts of the project scope.
