Privacy policy

This site is deliberately built to collect as little as possible. There is no tracking by default, no advertising pixels, no third-party fonts and no embedded maps. This page explains exactly what happens with your data.

1. Who is responsible

The controller for data processing on this website is:

Name
Faraz Ahmad
Address
FILL: street address, postcode, city, Germany
Email
info@farazahmd.com
Phone
FILL: phone number

Full legal details are in the imprint.

2. The enquiry form

If you send the form on the home page, the following is processed: your name, email address, optionally your company or website, the project type and budget range you pick, your message, your IP address and the time of submission.

Where it goes: the data is validated on the server and sent to me by email. It is not written to a database or stored in a file on the web server.

Why: to answer your enquiry and, if we work together, to prepare an offer. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries).

How long: enquiry emails stay in my mailbox as long as needed to deal with your request, and are deleted when there is no longer a business or legal reason to keep them. Where commercial or tax law requires retention, those periods apply instead.

3. Server log files

The hosting provider automatically records each request in log files: the requesting IP address, date and time, the file requested, the referring page, the browser and operating system. This is technically necessary to deliver the site and to detect abuse. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. These logs are kept only for a short period by the provider and are not combined with other data by me.

The site is hosted by Hostinger. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider, which acts as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR.

4. Cookies

This site sets no cookies for its own functionality. If analytics is enabled (see below) and you agree to it, cookies are set at that point and not before. Your choice itself is remembered in your browser's local storage under the key fa-analytics-consent, which never leaves your device.

5. Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is prepared but only loads after you actively agree via the consent banner. If you decline, or ignore the banner, no Google script is loaded and no data is sent. If you agree, Google Ireland Limited processes usage data (pages viewed, rough location from a shortened IP address, device and browser) on my behalf to produce aggregate statistics; IP anonymisation is enabled. This can involve transfer to servers in the USA on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which makes the banner appear again.

6. Fonts, maps and other third parties

Fonts are stored on this server and served from this domain — no request goes to Google Fonts, so your IP address is never passed to Google for that purpose. The map of Germany is an inline vector graphic drawn from public-domain Natural Earth data; there is no map provider involved and no tiles are loaded. The 3D graphics library is served from this domain too. In short: loading this site contacts no server other than this one.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data (Art. 15), have it corrected (Art. 16), have it deleted (Art. 17), restrict processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise any of these, email info@farazahmd.com.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. The competent authority is the data protection authority of the federal state of my place of business: FILL: competent state data protection authority.

8. No automated decision-making

Your data is not used for profiling or automated decision-making, and it is not sold or passed on for advertising.

9. Changes

If the site changes — for example if analytics is switched on, or a booking tool is embedded — this page is updated before that goes live. The date at the top shows the current version.
